The College is committed to fostering the overall development of its students by introducing a range of mandatory and elective courses that address contemporary global issues. Mandatory courses such as Human Values and Professional Ethics, and Environmental Studies are now part of the curriculum for all engineering programs. These courses aim to promote Gender Equality, Sustainability, Human Values, and Ethics among students. Additionally, the College offers open electives like Disaster Management and Non-Conventional Energy Resources, providing students with opportunities to explore vital areas relevant to modern societal and environmental challenges.

Human values and professional ethics: The university is committed to instilling moral, social, and ethical values through its educational offerings and community activities. As part of this commitment, it offers two credit courses on Human Values and Professional Ethics, mandatory for all B.E. programs. These courses aim to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of self-awareness, societal responsibilities, and professional ethics. They emphasize the importance of ethical human conduct, fostering trustful and mutually respectful human interactions.

In addition to the academic curriculum, the college actively promotes national integrity, human values, and communal harmony through various community service initiatives. These include organizing Blood Donation Camps, Eye Camps, Swachh Bharat campaigns, and awareness programs in nearby villages. These activities not only benefit the community but also instill a sense of social responsibility and civic duty among students.

Environment and Sustainability: Environmental Studies is an interdisciplinary course offered as a mandatory component for all undergraduate programs. The course encompasses the study of natural resources, with a particular focus on renewable energy sources. It underscores the importance of conserving the current ecosystem, promoting biodiversity, addressing the dangers of environmental pollution, and raising awareness about environmental and social issues.

Additionally, under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), several Open Elective courses are available to broaden students' understanding of critical environmental topics:

  1. Disaster Management: This course delves into various natural and man-made disasters, examining their occurrences, impacts, mitigation strategies, and management systems in India. It also highlights the role of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing technology in disaster mitigation and management.

  2. Green Buildings: Emphasizing the importance of eco-friendly materials, this course covers green building rating systems and the principles of sustainable construction practices.

  3. Non-conventional Energy Sources: This course focuses on the generation of electricity from non-conventional energy sources such as solar, wind, ocean, and geothermal energy. It aims to impart knowledge on the principles and practical utilization of these energy sources.

  4. Industrial Pollution and its Control: Addressing the effects of uncontrolled industrial emissions, this course explores various pollution disposal methods and strategies to minimize environmental contamination from industrial activities.

These courses collectively aim to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and skills to address and manage environmental challenges effectively.

National Service Scheme: The college has a vibrant NSS wing that encourages student participation in various community service programmes such as tree plantation, Swacch Bharat Abhiyan, and awareness campaigns on renewable energy sources, and the conservation of water and electricity. Additionally, the Eco Club of the college is actively involved in promoting environmental awareness. It organizes guest lectures on various environmental topics and celebrates Eco Week annually to highlight the importance of environmental conservation.

Gender Sensitization: The 'Human Values and Professional Ethics' course places significant emphasis on social responsibility, specifically focusing on instilling civic sense and virtues. A critical aspect of this unit is addressing issues related to the dignity of women both at home and in the workplace. To foster a deeper understanding and awareness of these topics, the course includes various activities such as discussions, debates, and guest lectures, all aimed at gender sensitization.

Celebrating International Women’s Day annually with active student participation is a highlight of the program, underscoring the importance of recognizing and honoring women's contributions and achievements. Additionally, the course organizes special talks to motivate women to explore and pursue opportunities in the fields of science and technology, thereby encouraging a more inclusive and diverse professional environment.

Furthermore, the institution provides student counseling on gender equality and related issues through a dedicated student counsellor. To reinforce these efforts, an exclusive committee comprising women faculty members and female students addresses gender equality issues, ensuring a supportive and proactive approach to promoting gender equality within the academic community.
