About IT Department

• Department of Information Technology strives to ensure quality education as a leader in the Information Technology Education by continuously improving academic inputs and educational excellence.The department is committed to provide a quality learning environment, in terms of inspiring teachers, state-of-the-art facilities, share and widening the knowledge horizon, interacting with experts from academia and industry and facilitating the student in the process of growth in the Information Technology field.
• Training the students to become well disciplined and knowledgeable in the field of Information and Technology.
• Since its inception in 2000, the Department of Information Technology has been continuously making progress in teaching and R&D activities. Started with an intake of 60 students, the sanctioned intake was increased to 90 in 2007. The Department has been maintaining an active interaction with many IT Concerns. Many concerns have accredited the college for faculty and students development programmes, campus interviews etc.
• The students of the Department have brought out quite number of innovative projects such as GPS in Traffic Management, Smart Cards, etc. The software team of the Department has made laudable contribution by developing software for campus management, attendance help line and on-line test. Many of the students are well placed in leading software companies such as TCS, Infosys, Satyam Mahindra, Polaris etc
• Our Department has highly qualified faculty members with excellent infrastructure for facing forthcoming new technologies. Presently we are waiting for the accreditation committee to visit to get NBA Certification.
