PRINCIPAL MESSAGE

Dr.S.Ravi is a distinguished academician, visionary leader, and administrator with over 30 years of experience in the field of engineering education, research, and institutional development. Currently serving as the Principal of Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering and Technology, He is committed to fostering academic excellence, innovation, and holistic student development.

He holds a BE in Mechanical Engineering from Madras University (1996), an ME in Production Engineering from CEG campus, Anna university (2002), and a PhD from CEG campus, Anna University (2012). His academic journey is marked by a strong foundation in teaching, research, and academic leadership.

Dr.S.Ravi has an extensive teaching experience of over 30 years, guiding undergraduate and postgraduate students with dedication and expertise. He has published numerous research papers in national and international journals. He has actively involved in the establishment of IEI(I) student’s chapter since 2005. Also organised the various activities of the Chapter include Seminars, Workshops, Technical Symposia and faculty development programs.

As an administrator, He has played a key role in curriculum development, accreditation processes, and establishing industry collaborations. Under his leadership, the institution has achieved significant milestones in academics, placements, and research initiatives.

His primary research interests include cryogenic machining, Polymers and composites, Smart Manufacturing and Industry 4.0, Green and Sustainable Machining Processes, Advanced Machining Processes, Green Lubricants and Coolants.

In addition to his administrative and teaching roles, he is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India) and a member of ISTE.He serves as a reviewer for multiple international journals.

He strongly believes in creating a learner-centric environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and ethical values. His vision is to transform students into competent professionals and responsible citizens who contribute meaningfully to society.
