ONGOING R & D PROJECT 1 IT: The College has been sanctioned with a project under National Net working programe of Health GIS linking 14 institutions, Hospitals, Universities in In dia from Kashmir to Kerala. Tamil Nadu has three colleges including Sri Venkateswara college of Engineering Technology Thiruvallur Thirupachur which has been given responsibility of mapping part of Thiruvallur and create Geo spatial data of water quality and link with health hazards by Department of Science and Technology Govt of India New Delhi.
Objective of Project I. Design and Development of a Geo spatial data base for Part of Thiruvallur town NorthTamil Nadu Region on ground water quality affecting the health of the residents. II. Conduct the scientific studies in the bacteria in ground water from sample bore wells ,septic tanks with the help of public , Govt General Hospital, Thiruvallur, Deputy Director Public Health Thiruvallur and geo spatial analysis of Water quality and health problems in various seasons for two years. III.To study altitude distribution of ground water and surface water contaminants association with the house hold , locality, and meteorological conditions prevailing. IV. To study the 3D modeling of the area distribution function and its temporal variation, both on long term and short term basis.of water qualityode V Coding are shaping Geo spatial industry.Coding Geo spatial Networking of health data and VI Explore cloud computing and crowd sourcing in Health GIS R & D PROJECT 2 IT
